The History of International Sports Journalist Day
1995年，第58屆國際體育記者協會代表大會在加拿大舉行。此會議通過決議，將7月2日定為“國際體育記者日”，號召所有會員國協會在7月2日這天舉行各種形式的慶祝活動。
In 1995, the International Sports Press Association, or Association Internationale De La Presse Sportive (AIPS) in French, held its 58th annual congress in Canada.
During the meeting, a decision was made and passed that the 2nd of July from that year on will be 'International Sports Journalist Day'--a day when celebration of the sports reporter is encouraged to be held in all member countries.

What is AIPS?
說到國際體育記者日，就不能不提國際體育記者協會。這個協會于1924年7月2日在法國巴黎成立，目前有125個會員國協會。中國體育記者協會在1978年AIPS莫斯科代表大會上被接納為該組織正式會員。
國際體育記者協會自成立以來，為加強各國體育記者之間的溝通與合作,促進體育運動及體育新聞事業在全世界的發展，弘揚奧林匹克精神作出了巨大的貢獻。
AIPS was established in Paris, France, on July 2, 1924. Currently, it consists of member associations from 125 countries.
The Sports Press Association in China became an AIPS member in 1978, during the annual congress in Moscow, Russia.
Since its establishment, the AIPS has made great contribution to strengthen cooperation in sports journalism among the organization's member countries.
